Introducing blackjack - a leather tankard. The first fragments of leather containers come from Scotland, 6th century. Blackjack became popular in England during 13th century mainly with sailors. The reason is practical. A leather tankard does not break during storms and it is lighter than pottery. Sailors were allowed to take only a bag of stated size on board plus there was a weight limit. A large number of such tankards and other leather objects were well documented on the board of the wreck of a sunken ship called Mary Rose. These blackjacks, like everything else in my workshop, are handmade including sewing. A blackjack goes through a hot wax and resin bath.
The tankard is fully functional. It is suitable for water and beer (tested). It is not suitable for hot, acid or aggressive liquids or liquids with high contents of alcohol. Do not expose it to high temperatures or direct sun (might cause softening, deformation or even leaking).

History:
Leather flasks represented a common part of medieval travelers' equipment. Discoveries of leather vessels and water flasks have been common since ancient times practically worldwide. Shapes and contents of flasks varied.Manufacturing Process:
I craft flasks in my workshop entirely by hand, including stitching. The manufacturing process involves wet stuffing, where wheat seeds are inserted into the sewn shape. After drying and removing the seeds, the flasks undergo a hot bath of resin and wax, ensuring their tightness, which I personally test. The flask is made of 3,5 mm cowhide leather and is designed and crafted to withstand the demanding conditions of warriors or travelers and maintain its integrity for many years.Usage and Limitations:
These flasks are fully functional. They are not suitable for hot, acidic, or aggressive beverages, or beverages with high alcohol content. Do not expose them to high temperatures or direct sunlight for an extended period (which may cause softening and potential deformation of the shape, ultimately affecting liquid retention).Product Specifications:
